Position Title: Bowl for Kids Sake Assistant
Reports To: Communication and Fund Development Manager Heather Doran and Executive Director Myron Yates
Purpose: Responsible for recruiting returning and new Bowl for Kids Sake teams in Tignish, Summerside, North Rustico, and Charlottetown. Provide Donor Engage support (on-line donation website) by inputting accurate data.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Duration: January 6, 2020 to June 5, 2020
Must be EI Eligible
Position pays $520 per week
-Implement team captain goals and objectives for BFKS campaign.
-Provide Team Captains with campaign materials
-Prepare a cold call list
-Visit recruitment areas to poster and distribute cold call packages
-Actively promote on-line pledging and provide user support and training
-Motivate and monitor Team Captains and teams’ fundraising activities
-Secure Team information
-Confirm locations and times to bowl with Team Captains
-Work effectively with BFKS team
-Assist with a variety of duties and provide excellent customer service during Bowl for Kids Sake weekend
-Maintain and manage information in the Donor Engage database including pre-event teams sheet and post event data entry
-Provide input into post-campaign evaluation including final expenditures, recommendations, action items
-Assist with Team recognition during campaign
-Assist BFKS team members as needed
-Other duties as assigned
Please note: Duration of position may lead to assisting during Cottage Campaign. Duties could include:
1. Greeting the public, giving tours of cottage and pointing out features.
2. Selling tickets for the cottage draw.
3. Educating the public about Big Brothers Big Sisters and its programs.
4. Entering data.
5. Basic bookkeeping including balancing books, bank deposits, debit and credit transactions.
6. Maintaining ticket sales record.
Education: College diploma in office administration, business, sales, telephone sales.
-Familiarity with Summerside and Western PEI
-Strong customer relations skills
-Strong telephone skills
-Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds
-Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to solve problems
-Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
-Ability to represent the Agency in the community in a professional manner

-Sound computer skills to manage Income Manger, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, the Internet, and email
-Effective oral, written and electronic communication skills
-Ability to work flexible hours
